There was a Festival of flowers in the town plaza when we arrived.
There were bands playing and parades of cars covered with flowers.
Vendors were doing a brisk business.
We drove through town to the Basilica.
We visited the
the Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana. Our Lady of Copacabana is the patron saint of Bolivia.
It is said she spared the town of Copa Cabana from a tidal wave.
